Critic Reviews

  • Michael Ordoņa, Los Angeles Times

A heaping helping of political incorrectness gleefully spiced to offend just about every sentient being.

  • Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly

It's genuine sick fun, and there isn't a boring moment in it.

  • Kyle Smith, New York Post

A landmark achievement in the field of cursed-chicken-franchise horror musicals.

  • Nathan Lee, New York Times

Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead is just about as perfect as a film predicated on the joys of projectile vomiting and explosive diarrhea can be.

  • Ed Gonzalez, Village Voice

Open[s] with the best trying-to-unfasten-a-bra and zombie-finger-as-buttplug gags in movie history, which are closely followed by the most tasteless fisting scene since William Freidkin's Cruising.

Very surprisingly I really enjoyed this one! I'm not a big lover of Troma or musicals for that matter but I loved the outrageously offensive tone the film had. Certainly not for the politically correct brigade - it's racist, homophobic, islamophobic, sexist - pretty much… More

True Troma down to a science. Funny, lude, graphic, tasteless and outlandish. And about 20 minutes too long. And a musical! If you've ever liked a Troma film, this is probably worth checking out.

Holy crap. Super nasty, vile, I found myself saying "that's the most effed up thing i've ever seen" several times during this movie. I'd say the first 2/3rds is just dumb, but I gotta give them props for the zombie chicken stuff at the end where they eat all… More
