Critic Reviews
-
David Jenkins, Time Out
Aside from the fact that each cast member employs a different style of acting, this is drably shot (Ibiza looks like Clacton), slackly edited and detached from any recognisable reality.
-
Philip French, Observer [UK]
There's a dull excursion to Ibiza where a suicide and much drug-taking ensue, and a climactic sequence shot on location at the V festival in Suffolk.
-
David Edwards, Daily Mirror [UK]
Last month, I reckoned Horrid Henry was a shoo-in for worst film of the year. Compared to Powder, however, it looks like The Battleship Potemkin.
-
Derek Malcolm, This is London
One is struck virtually dumb by a screenplay that looks as if written on the back of an envelope.
-
Peter Bradshaw, Guardian [UK]
It's cliched and leaden, and moves with all the speed and manoeuvrability of a submarine in treacle.
