The performances in this film are powerful. It's hard to believe that people can be so horrifically abusive to each other but I guess it happens. Monique's performance steals the show, but Sidibe is excellent too.
The acting was wonderful, but the movie was not the best. I did not like the way it ended and felt they should have shown how Precious dealt the mental aftermath.

The most moving and emotional film of the year. It triggers questions of your own life and makes you consider how lucky some of us have it. But the best thing of this film is Sidibe's performance. Breathtaking.
