I was really confused until about the last half hour. After I finally understood what was going on, it wasn't too bad. I actually thought he was gonna live, but that probably wouldn't have made sense for the movie.

I didn't like this movie until I figured out what was happening. The trailers and even the film's titles misrepresent what this film is about: Sandra Bullock isn't psychic or anything, and strictly speaking, what happened wasn't a "premonition". She's just living the days of the ...( read more)

Meh, okay. Sandra Bullock was amazing and I love her. I didn't have a big issue with the so-called "plot holes." But the ending? Horrible! The gag reel was great.

The remake of a Japanese film of the same name becomes an enjoyable Hollywood psychological Thriller.
Quite a bizarre storyline, turn your head for a moment and it?s easy to lose what?s happening. -

The ultimate suburban housewife nightmare! Gosh! Laundry re-appearing into the basket! Gross dead animals in the backyard! Dreamy husband having an affair with his blonde secretary bombshell!
Really... for anybody else who's seen more than ten to fifteen thrillers in his or h...( read more) -

I wish I had had a premonition about this movie before seeing it. The ending, and final death scene, actually had me laughing at its preposterousness. I don't think that was the filmmakers intent. If it was, then 5 stars!

I don't how people could not appreciate its movie. I am totally in love with it even if it was a really tragic story. A good modern tragedy I say =)
Critic Reviews
So there you have it: go to church, keep your husband's gaze averted from stray blondes, try not to think about the future, and all shall be well. full review
[The filmmakers] are victims of the exquisitely misguided notion -- all too common in thrillers these days -- that if they throw in enough twists, audiences will become so engaged that they won't noti... full review
I have a premonition you won't give a damn. I sure as hell didn't. full review
Premonition works hard at wearing out its welcome, with numerous scenes that don't seem to add up and too many characters who feel underwritten. full review
Premonition is both dreary and absurd, suffering from a lack of intrinsic logic and terrible pacing, a one-two punch that kills off any chance of entertainment value. full review
Pay real money to see this feeble fiasco only if you're in the mood for Groundhog Day without the laughs. full review
Can you suffocate by constantly stifling yawns? If so, Premonition should be labeled a public health threat. full review
Damn if the movie doesn't work hard, through not working hard at all, at setting some sort of record for dreary ridiculousness. full review

July 12, 2009So I'm confused. Did Jim still live or are the creators just saying that life goes on?

January 29, 2008Oh my this was such a brilliant movie. Suspense all through. It was so sad and heartbreaking. The actors did their parts so well it was like so REALISTIC. Which is what the Director aimed for. And a lovely DEEP message invovled too. A favourite movie for the year!!!

August 29, 2007This was a really good movie... A little confusing in the beginning till you grasp whats going on but yet the kind of movie that makes you think about your life and the rights and wrongs the forgives and forgets.... And the meaning of Love and Family...

August 20, 2007AWESOME, I love these kind of movies where you think & try puting all the pieces togther& it was even better than what I expected it to be. Sandar Bullock & Julian McMahon are so great especially Sandra she was so into the part as usual that you feel that you are part of the movie too. Evethough the ending is really sad but I loved the idea of the movie. How to love & Forgive & Most Importantly accept whatever happens in your life & Not try to change it or fight it. If you think again of how the movie ended & how he died you figure that if she didn't go after him then probably he wouldn't have died or he could have died in another way so It's really not in our hands.
I liked the script , the way the movie was directed & putting all the pieces together. A Great work of Art. I just loved it. Kudos to Sandra, she did it again. -
August 20, 2007I loved this film so much if it wasnt for sandra the film would not have been enjoyable. I cryed in this at the end I hope she brings out more movies
