I liked the lions, they were absolutely adorable... but most of it (especially the ending) was really bad. Oh well.

Decent nature run-amok film about a rich white family in Africa comprised of overworked father (Robocop himself, Peter Weller who is very underused in this film), the new trophy wife (a pre-knocked up by Tom Brady Bridget Moynahan), a dumb adolescent teen girl who bitches, complains, and hates life (god, they use this type of character way too much in movies and TV), and silly young boy. Besides Robocop, the rest of the family takes a tour in the outback where man-eating lions strand them in the jeep, kill their guide, a few Africans here and there for 90 minutes until Robocop and the know-it-all Robert Shaw wannabe hunter tracks them down in a climax that was about as exciting as flossing. Woo. Watching the lions kill was fun though.

MCT:January 25, 2008Same old two-bit story of how a family gets separated while on some African safari and the second wife and the two kids from the previous marriage have to escape lions while the father is on a rampant search for his family by hiring the uncouth local whose love for lions explain why he's single. One and a half hours of (lion)bullshit. Not even some half-decent shots of the lions.

I was a bit shock when lions appear close-up in the scenes. Good thrilling and I can imagine what this movie is like Cujo meets The Ghost and the Darkness.
