Fairly successful big croc movie. It follows generic plotlines via generic chracters, but has enough charm to pull it off. Orlando Jones is a great casting choice. His wit elevates the film somewhat, with lines like "This crocs like OJ Simpson. His biggest mistake was killing a w...( read more)

A very thrilling and fun monster movie, in the tradition of Jaws. It's smart, exciting, nail-biting and action-packed. An edge of your seat thriller with a realistic turn at a true story. A great cast of compelling and teriffic actors.

Oh boy :/....the movie is supposed to be about Gustave...an actual 2,000 pound, 20 feet crocodile in the Republic of Burundi, a small country in the Great Lakes region of Africa...but the film made even less mention of the creature than anything! The film's promotional trailer du...( read more)

Terrible movie, trailer says its a serial killer, but its just a giant crocodile. Lame CGI, stupid story and even more stupid how they throw in little lines here and there about how its our fault b/c we dont help out those countries enough. I hate this movie.

Only saw this movie once and it instantly became a favorite. I like that it's inspired by true events, and that it's very exciting and suspenseful, but what I REALLY like about it is that not only is there a monster in the form a gigantic croc they're after, but the more they del...( read more)

How capturing an animal found in every zoo constitutes a scoop is beyond me, but when you expect the trio to be knee-deep in blood they are instead wading through politics. full review
In the end, broader messages get beaten down by genre. full review

August 14, 2007This movie could have been better. it looks like just another anaconda movie but abit slower. Just an 'OK' movie... ok to skip it. The trailer does make you think its a great movie but the thrill u get is not as good as the trailer. all i can say is i expected more though but i would have to say anaconda 2 was way better.

July 20, 2007I like cheesy movies.. But please... I would rather just watch Lake Placid and see a good movie about a giant croc.. Actually I could just watch paint dry for about 2 hours and come out of my coma with the same hazy bored impression that this movie left me with.

I don't usually say anything about comments...but I'll make an exception in this case
I would strongly suggest that you actually watch the movie before you open your mouth about it on a public forum...the movie is about a FREAKIN' CROCODILE, I don't think he cares about the publicity! -
May 17, 2007JUST WONDERING! BUT WHY THE HECK WOULD YOU MAKE A MOVIE ABOUT A SERIAL KILLER THATS STILL....ALIVE!
1. ITS PROMOTING WHAT HE DOES...UHHH KILLS PEOPLE AND LIKES IT!
2. ITS PLAINLY STUPID!
3. HE'S PROBABLY ENJOYING THE PUBLICITY!
HOW STUPID!
GEEZ! -
