At first I doubted that I'll enjoy this movie very much, but as it went on the movie kept on getting better and better. It's about an evil spirit trapped in a prison after his execution that wanted revenge.

Overall a pretty intense horror flick with a variety of characters and lots of deaths. Though I was quite confused about the connection between Viggo Mortensen's character to the evil spirit.

I knew there was a reason why I skipped over Prison all these years because it's pretty fucking lame and even having 'Tiny' Lister in it couldn't save it. The ghost is electricity for most of the movie and shows up in person @ the end for like 2 seconds...maybe Shocker is better

A fairly good early movie from Renny Harlin (I think it was his first US movie), as well as some interesting early performances from Viggo Mortensen, Chelsea Field and Tiny Lister. The plot's OK (a haunted prison that's been re-opened with gory results) and the characters are a b...( read more)it better than normal for think kind of fare.

I loved this movie, mainly because I was going through a "viggo phase" when I watched it and he is in his underwear through most the movie, but actually not all that bad of a movie.
