  haha I didn't even watch the whole thing. I saw it on TV and thought it was Prom Night, which is an equally awful movie, but it has that hot guy that plays Snow's boyfriend which makes the entire movie watchable. But anyway... The acting was so awful, as well as the writing. I was just watching it and it felt so awkward because no teenager would ever act like that or say any of those things ever in a million years. I only watched like the last 20-30 minutes and I was on my ipad too, so I wasn't paying much attention but this one scene was so hilariously outrageous. This girl is in her room getting ready and something flies through her window onto the floor. She looks out the window and there's a fucking little boy sitting in her tree! And he's like "I don't know how else to tell you, but I think now's a good time. I LOVE YOU." HAHAHAHHAHA omg. There wasn't a more appropriate time for him to confess his feelings to her? He had to sit up in a tree that looked about 20ft high outside her window. What sane/normal kid would do that? It's called a door and you walk up and knock on it or ring the doorbell, and after you knock -get ready for it- Someone comes to the door and let's you in! Crazy! Right? I know. Who would've thought knocking on a door would be easier than climbing a 20ft tree. But wait- It gets better!! Then he was like "I love you. If you go to the prom with that other boy, I might as well stay up in this tree forever." LMAO. Like dude you're 15, you don't know love. Get over yourself already. Go run to your mommy, have her make you a snack and you'll forget all about the nasty girl. Maybe if you weren't such a freak climbing trees like fuckin Tarzan, you would have a girlfriend. And you know what? In the end I think he is with his mom in a car HAHAHA I called it!! This was such a Disney movie. So clean, so innocent. Where's the couples having sex for the first time in the back of their rented limo? Where's the kids dry humping each other on the dance floor and barfing on each other because they can't hold their alcohol? Where's the kids drunk driving their way home, side swiping every parked car that comes in their path? That's what prom is about. Getting into trouble and fucking shit up. Real teens. Real world. Not in this movie.

My Thoughts: "I'm trying to imagine being a teenager again and if I would have maybe liked this movie then... nope. It's one of those brain dead films. I don't understand why a film about a prom needs to be almost two hours long. I can't believe it was so unoriginal and predictable, oh wait! Yes I can. Obviously I knew what I was getting myself into when I watched this. But sometimes you have to suffer through awful things when you have a teenager.

  A group of teenagers get ready for their high school prom. Good movie. Sweet and heart-warming. It has Disney magic written all over it. I actually enjoyed it enough to say to others I saw this movie without shame jaja. Prom and high school graduation are approaching for a group of seniors, but when the prom decorations are destroyed in an act of school vandalism, the class president is left scrambling. With everybody else pre-occupied with finding dates and dresses, Nova is left to rely on the principal forcing the school rebel to help her out. But when he's there for her when she needs it, she starts looking at him in a different light.

  Prom is hard to explain to in one word, but i'll try, how about.... stupid. It tells the story of several romances in high school before the most romantic night of their lives, Prom night. The plot is so idiotic and stupid, Disney has made this high school like an Elementry school, and they have also made all these characters winey and unrealistic, basically this whole movie is one big cliche. The acting was cheesy, but to tell you the truth i don't think it was their fault, I think the Director and Disney was just trying to make them act chesy and bad so little kids would love it, but the problem is how are the teens supposed to love acting as crapy as this, so I am not going to blame the actors on this, I blame Disney and the director. The score of this movie was the one good thing, if you listen closely they have some incredible music i8n this. Prom is not a good movie, and to any adults or teens, let the kids have their fun with this.

  Flying off like a prom dress, Disney skips the small screen and goes straight for the cinema screen with their latest teen cash-in...though it's definitely small time stuff. Documenting how every clique and cliché relates to the last formal dance before graduation, Prom plays out like High School Musical, only without the music. To further scratch at this dichotomy, there's even a budding, Breakfast Club-style, unlikely romance among the leads. Like the tacky decorations adorning such a dance, however, this predictable movie is just store-bought fluff-the kind of story moviegoers have seen done better by the likes of John Hughes. Oh, the trappings shimmer at times, but, once the lights come up, it's really just a pair of brown shoes with a black tuxedo. In this sugary sweet PG-rated teen dramedy, a group of high schoolers (Teegarden, McDonell, DeVaughn Nixon, Danielle Campbell) find their lives coming together and futures taking shape as they prepare for the biggest single night of their young lives. It's not that the movie lacks sufficient talent. In fact, every pretty face perfectly fits their clique to a T. The paper doll-thin substance of the script, however, leaves much to be desired. Hearts are supposed to sing as the good girl falls for a bad boy. Heartstrings are supposed to get tugged as the goofy kid struggles to find a date. Hearts are supposed to race as the jock cheats on his girlfriend. All this well-worn pastiche will do, however, is give the audience an excuse to hate high school all over again. Bottom line: Disenchantment under the sea.

  prom is that live action disney comedy that at first, you thinkg is gonna become a typical, dull, kid friendly comedy, at first, but it turns out that prom is actually entertaining, funny, and sortof a fun time to see. yes you'll think it's disney's way for little kids to get thier hopes up for there prom, even if they don't know what prom is yet, but no, it's a film that's pretty fair, full of laughs, fun, feel good things and stuff like that everyone from high schoolers and first graders will like. prom may not be the best film of the year, no doubt, but it's a fair, modest, entertaingly good looking yarn of a movie this year. B

  Lets be fair, if you are going to sit down and watch Prom, you know what to expect. An ensemble cast all trying for the most perfect night of their teenage lives, and that's what you get. No surprises, no stand out performances. I will say that I really really enjoyed the style, it mashes up indie and hipster with good results, the kind of film that may make you feel cool to watch. If you end up watching prom you know what you are buying into, wholesome teenagers in love, and that's exactly what you get.
