MCT:May 10, 2008I guess I have to watcha gay movie every once in a while or the gay mafia will revoke my membership. Trust me, it's in the bylaws.
Well, in any case, too bad I chose Prom Queen...
It's comically stereotypical, cheesy and very Disney Channelesque, and not in a cute way. And what's worse, for a movie that's only four years old, it's woefully dated, even the stereotypes.
Ya, I guess it has somewhat of a good message -- but that's about its only redeeming quality.
Good thing I didn;t pay anything to see this. -
MCT:April 4, 2008The true story of Marc Hall, wonderfully portrayed by Aaron Ashmore. MArc goes to a Catholic High School and wants to take his boyfriend to the prom. The principal and school board deny his request saying that homosexuality is against their faith. He hires a lawyer and sues the school.

MCT:December 4, 2007I saw the movie Prom Fight, which was real footage of Marc and his friends and family during this whole thing, but I'd like to see this interpretation of it too.

MCT:October 13, 2007Based on real life gay teen who wanted to take his boyfriend to the prom. His school was Roman Catholic who refused to allow him. Story is about how a personal issue blew up into a national issue which ended in the Canandian Supreme Court. It tells of how his life is effected in all of his relationships. His parents, his boyfriend who is not out, his class mates, school and church and finally other kids who were gay. Scott Thompson is the lawyer who is on his side and Dave Foley as the school principal.

TV movie about the real-life gay high-schooler who sued in order to take his male date to the prom, PROM QUEEN: THE MARC HALL STORY This is an enjoyable movie about a gay teen who wants to bring his male partner to his senior prom. Very good independent film.This is a good movie especially for those parents dealing with homosexual children.
