October 2009 - It was quite brilliant. The story, the atmosphere of the movie and the light symbolism of the dialogues and events all were surprising from a movie I had not heard about.

Not only is this one of the most interesting fictional stories I have ever seen brought to the screen, but it was Crowe's most worthwhile and unique role.

He befriends a restaurant worker (Crowe), who he entrusts to verbally describe the pictures for him. He eventually gets let down by those around him, but he ...( read more)learns an important lesson in the fallibility of mankind and true friendship.

This was a touching movie with wonderful acting by Weaving, Crowe, and Picot. Not to heavy and not to light - just a poignant little film.

A bizarre but superb drama on the emotional games three people play, wittily and pereceptively captured by novice writer-director Jocelyn Moorhouse and acted with total conviction and sympathy.
