I could see chicks loving a movie like this. Too sappy for me, but I watch just about everything, so from my perspective: a profound snorefest for guys but a delightful tear-jerker for chicks.

I absolutely adored this the first time around. The second time around it wasn't as perfect. But who can resist Gerard Butler?

At some point, most people cried during this movie. Why didn't i?

Don't get me wrong. I liked it. It just didn't move me as much as i wanted it to.

One thing's for sure. I want to go to Ireland!

"P.S. I Love You" begins with a good idea and even has seconds worth of funny or touching moments, but it ends up falling under the weight of everything that it can't live up to.

The movie has all three types of movie.A drama, romance and comedy - the film takes you on an emotional journey, one that everyone can relate to, losing someone you love and learning to cope with the loss is universal.
You will not be disappointed with the film. It is not an academy award winning film, but it is a tearjerker and definitely makes you go home home and hug your significant other and be happy to have them in your life

Holly Kennedy (Hilary Swank) and her goofy Irish husband Gerry (Gerard Butler) fighting over a seemingly innocuous comment Gerry made to Holly's mother. Just when the couple realizes how much they need one another, the film cuts ahead several months to Gerry's funeral, where Holly is absolutely devastated. Fortunately, during his battle with a brain tumor, Gerry composed a series of letters to be delivered to Holly after his death, each encouraging her to live her life, each ending with the phrase P.S. I Love You. As the letters pile up, Holly struggles with memories of her past as her two best friends Denise (Lisa Kudrow) and Sharon (Gina Gershon), and the shamelessly blunt bartender Daniel (Harry Connick Jr.), all struggle to get her to start anew. P.S. I Love You is one of those painful films that makes you cry right off the bat, then lifts you up with some choice comedy (courtesy of Lisa Kudrow) only to slap you in the face with a heart-breaking flashback. But despite the extremely depressing subject matter, the film still emanates an aura of hope, which keeps it from sinking into Lifetime: Movie of the Week territory. Ultimately, the film serves to prove that annoying adage you hear after every break-up, Tis better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.

i did not have the highest hopes for this movie, but it more than delivered. for each romantic comedy cliche, there are genuinely human moments as well.

Why is they always adapting something unnecessary from books and end up to be some lunatic followers? Well, if you feel like you ever watched romantic movies in your life, then you don't have to see this. Yeah, this one had a little different storyline, but the scenes, the quotes, it was all just damn ENCORES from another romantic movies.

And as a 2 Academy Award winning actress, is that so hard for Hilary Swank to identify a good script and a bad script? So please, don't throw yourself up in shits. (remember The Reaping?) You can do a lot better than this. It's not a career suicide, just an eclipse for both actors, Swank and Butler.(from his 300)

So, if you feel pissed because you skipped this from this cinema, or your boyfriend pushed you to see something else, be happy, MAYBE YOU ARE NOT-SO-UNLUCKY.

Dear Holly, I don't have much time. I don't mean literally, I mean you're out buying ice cream and you'll be home soon. But I have a feeling this is the last letter, because there is only one thing left to tell you. It isn't to go down memory lane or make you buy a lamp, you can take care of yourself without any help from me. It's to tell you how much you move me, how you changed me. You made me a man, by loving me Holly. And for that, I am eternally grateful... literally. If you can promise me anything, promise me that whenever you're sad, or unsure, or you lose complete faith, that you'll try to see yourself through my eyes. Thank you for the honor of being my wife. I'm a man with no regrets. How lucky am I. You made my life, Holly. But I'm just one chapter in yours. There'll be more. I promise. So here it comes, the big one. Don't be afraid to fall in love again. Watch out for that signal, when life as you know it ends. P.S. I will always love you.

This movie was in fact the chick flick thats been rewritten of every romance novel with a hint of reality. It sort of cancels everything out, I love Gerard Butler, of course who doesnt but it makes me question his acting in this film for being in a film with a less fez able actress, Hillary ( Many would say what move was she in again? ) It did break Gerard for every 300 fan out there, mainly all you heard was his voice barking out instruction on a tape recorder. But Hillary makes me wrinkle my nose and say.... She the person you dont want to pity or yet watch her kiss the 300 hunk...

I was fairly disappointed, thats why I dont watch these kind of movies they all blend in the same somehow with the love and the hate and the bafflingly fights couples face every day. But it didnt have any depth just the small small fluttering of the butterflies of the love thats cherished after he died.
