Just watched the trailer.. this Bond flick could be good.. but I don't think it's worth going to the cinema for it.. =) Out in theaters November 7, 2008. =)
Plot: Betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and M interrogate Mr. White who reveals the organization which blackmailed Vesper is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined.
Forensic intelligence links an Mi6 traitor to a bank account in Haiti where a case of mistaken identity introduces Bond to the beautiful but feisty Camille, a woman who has her own vendetta. Camille leads Bond straight to Dominic Greene, a ruthless business man and major force within the mysterious organization.
On a mission that leads him to Austria, Italy and South America, Bond discovers that Greene, conspiring to take total control of one of the world's most important natural resources, is forging a deal with the exiled General Medrano. Using his associates in the organization, and manipulating his powerful contacts within the CIA and the British government, Greene promises to overthrow the existing regime in a Latin American country, giving the General control of the country in exchange for a seemingly barren piece of land.
In a minefield of treachery, murder and deceit, Bond allies with old friends in a battle to uncover the truth. As he gets closer to finding the man responsible for the betrayal of Vesper, 007 must keep one step ahead of the CIA, the terrorists and even M, to unravel Greene's sinister plan and stop his organization.
Cassino Royale was sooooo freaking good! I like the way Daniel Craig does this edgier, darker, aggresive James Bond! This is one movie I can't wait to see!
This is going the badass movie of 2008 alongside The Dark Knight.Daniel Craig returns as Bond,James Bond more badass than never. If you enjoyed Casino Royal, you will enjoy Quantum of Solace.November 7.Canīt wait.
OK...I must admit this but I own every James Bond movie. Even the unofficial Bond film Never Say Never Again. I am a pure, die hard Bond junkie and Casino Royale just blew my socks off. So, I am most definately there when this opens.
Although this is coming out in November 2008, I'm all hyped up to watch this one. Definitely a must-see for me, not only because I'm a HUGE fan of Daniel Craig as the newest 007, but also to judge whether the James Bond franchise is really headed downhill.
what is the point of this title? why the hell isn't just 'little happiness' instead of quantum of solace? quantum of solace makes it sounds smart. that's false advertising
ITS CALLED QUANTUM OF SOLACE? WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? he's looking for a tiny bit of solace? james bond doesn't need solace! isn't he just going, you know, fuck another girl in this one? it's like they're trying to add pathos to the james bond story, WHAAT?... sure i guess ill see it, casino royale was alright, save for that testicle torture scene....that was MASTERFUL.
Aside from curiosity about what Marc Forster's take on the material will be, this is a must-see because it is a follow-up to 2006's best action movie. I hope Daniel Craig stays with it for as long as the movies attract other great talent.
