Almost felt like I was watching something like Top Chef.... with rats:-) "If you're gonna name a food, you should give it a name that sounds delicious. Ratatouille doesn't sound delicious. It sounds like "rat" and "patootie." Rat-patootie, which does not sound delicious."
There are two levels of Pixar films. The top level contains the Toy Stories, The Incredibles and Monsters Inc. These are films you can't live without. Then the second level with A Bug's Life, Cars and Finding Nemo. These are still great films, always visually stunning and perfectly made but the story isn't quite so appealing. Ratatouille belongs in the second level.
im soo scared of rats so i wont be seeing this one even though im damn interestred so let me know how good it is i finaaly looked at it and was scared to fucking death covered my damn eyes through most of it but it was reallly good
Hilarious! Best of the three. Love Shrek and Donkeys partnership. Love that how annoying Shrek gets with him, Donkey doesnt mean it. I would hate to be mates with Shrek and Donkey. Because they would be really hard to get on with. As far as Shrek and Fionas relationship is concerned, at first I thought what chance would a ugly, grumpy ogre have against a beautiful princess?! It is quite like Beauty And The Beast. Mike Myers Scottish accent (same voice as Fat Bastard from Austin Powers trilogy) is perfect for Shrek. Cameron Diazs voice for Fiona is brilliant aswell. So is Eddie Murphys as Donkey. One of the funniest family films of all time. I have watched this film more than 500 times before. I think I saw this film at the cinema. When I saw this film trailer when I went to see Monsters, Inc I thought this looks funny but not a classic comedy series of films. But when I watched it I thought it was amazing. That is why this is my second favourite animated film of all time because it is just hilarious. I love the characters of Shrek and Donkey. Shrek is mean and grumpy yet kind-hearted in some ways but Donkey is just really annoying and never shuts up.
Pixar's Greatest Movie Yet! I Love How PIXAR Makes Such Great Plots For Their Movies. I Mean Now-A Days You Just See The Same Plot Over And Over Agian. Anyways, PIXAR Never Fails To Tell Pepole A Very Good Story. Overall, ''Ratatouille'' and ''Wall-E'' Are The gratest PIXAR Movies Ever Made.
This is one of those movies that I hear such great things about, so I watch it and then say "what the hell". This movie wasn't that good for me... I felt it lacked the cuteness and the humor of other Pixar movies and was really boring.
Patton Oswalt is awesome as the voice of Ratatouille. All the voice actors do a very good job, and the story is pretty good as well. A great family movie that everyone should see.
Not quite as good as some of Pixar's other efforts, but still much better than most run-of-the-mill CGI pap. Worth watching alone for the monstrous restaurant critic Anton Ego and Remy the rat's super-cute ears, it's generally exuberant and sharply written. Thank goodness it also leaves out the avalanche of movie references Dreamworks swear by, and although it's not hilariously funny, it does amuse throughout the 111-minute running time.
I enjoyed the PSP more than the film. I've heard it's the best from Pixar but it's just not. It's beautiful, but The Incredibles was much, much better in my opinion.
I did have pretty high standards for this movie, being a spawn of Brad Bird and Pixar... while it does meet most of those standards with amazing animation and emotional characters (among other things), it fails to be THE best Pixar film.
This is a must see for any one of any age , unless you're one of those guys that's like "if you see animated movies that makes you a pussy" ,so sorry Chris Lamont, you shouldn't see this one. 2nd favorite Pixar movie after Toy Story
The only reason that it's 4.5 and not 5 is because unlike every other Disney great, there was no memorable song. But this movie was FANtastic. It's funny, clean and well written. A must see for any Disney fan, the animated greats have returned!
Absolutely loved this movie. Since cooking is my thing I found that part very cool. Kids will like it but I think the adults will appreciate it even more.
what a great animation. I honestly don't know how or why any child would find humor in this movie, because of the sophistication level of the comedy at times. But alas, children surprise the hell out of me on a daily basis
Disney-Pixar collaboration movies always deliver everything but monotonous...how they create such affectionate character, formulate overwhelming computer animation, and generate the perfect mixture...
The movie perspective taken from a mouse, Remy, who wants to be a chef so badly yet he had to face the tough mankind world where a mouse presence is a real horror struck, even more in the kitchen...Remy had to struggle for living among those who willing to slay him for good...there's rat traps, combat knife, but hey, that's life...so it's not easy being a mouse, is it? I also adore the French touch Ratatouille delivered...there's Peter O'Toole, as Anton Ego, a French gourmet and a food critics...he did a really good job here...the humour throughout the film is pristine...the characters are all well developed, I can even feel bumpy everytime the mice got chased off...of course the animation are excellent...
Ratatouille is a perfect blend of humour and culture which obviously deserve the best animation picture of 2007...
Estupenda. De principio a fin. Bien armada, buenas voces (en español y en inglés), historia dinámica. Divertida, muy divertida sobre todo... ¿mi parte favorita? Antón Ego comiendo Ratatouille... si llegué a llorar en el cine, me emocioné mucho. Recomendable por todos lados. Y el cortometraje también, jajajajaj. "Práctica Alienígena"... estupeeendo.
it all starts when a man whats to become a cook in a famous restraraunt that was owned by chief Gusteau. He become a worker. He couldnt cook but a mouse named remi came and made a soup 4 him and then he got promoted. the mouse hide under his hat so he made all the meals. Linguini wa one of the most famous chiefs ever.
The best from Pixar yet. The story was good as usual, though I detected some script issues. I will need to see it again to fully get it understood. Animation is top notch and the characters are very will played.
funny. but i always compare animated films to Shrek 1 n 2 and i must say it is no way near as funny as Shrek. Then again, i dont think any animated will be funnier than Shrek 1 n 2....unless Shrek 4 proves me wrong! but still, i enjoyed it.
