Critic Reviews

  • Geoff Andrew, Time Out

Its well characterised comedy of playground manners and teasing social awareness rings confidently through.

  • Christine Dolen, Miami Herald

    Whimsical, engaging.

  • Carrie Rickey, Philadelphia Inquirer

    Refreshingly subversive.

  • John Monaghan, Detroit Free Press

About as exciting as a lunchbox full of carrot sticks.

  • Mike Clark, USA Today

Passably speedy on the level of other TV retreads that seem miscast on the big screen.

absolutly original. a terrific big screen film to a terrific t.v. show! the jokes are funny and the film is too close to it's creators. fun for kids and kids at heart. a delightful, funny, smart animated comedy. A

How can you not love Recess? Especially with it off the air now, this movie was great to relive one of the greatest and well done cartoons ever made. Hopefully they keep making these movies or at least bring back the show.
