I confess, I've never seen Manhunter and I?ve been told by reliable sources that it's much better than Red Dragon. That might well be the case but Red Dragon is still good, with a great cast and stylish direction.

After the return of the infamous Hannibal Lecter to our screens in 2001 with Ridley Scott's film version of the best novel in Thomas Harris's Lecter trilogy, it's not surprising that a new version of the first novel in the series got an update a year later considering that it's p...( read more)

I can?t count the number of times I?ve watched this particular instalment to the series, but it?s cast alone is very impressive. Unlike the film ?Hannibal? Red Dragon is the film out of the four that is most like the original film ?The Silence of the Lambs?. With a unique way o...( read more)

Ultimately, Red Dragon is all about the cannibal, and Hopkins, with his unblinking stare and gracious manner, slips into the role like a favorite cardigan. full review
Red Dragon has been directed by Brett Ratner, he of the Rush Hour movies. If that's a step down from Jonathan Demme and Ridley Scott, it turns out not to be a very big one. full review
this movie, based on Harris' first novel, has studied Silence of the Lambs and knows that the action comes second to general creepiness. full review
Anthony Hopkins? Big deal! We've already seen the prequel to The Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal -- and it was better the first time. full review
Brett Ratner's Red Dragon delivers the goods in scary fun. full review
