It was sweet and funny. I am not used to Colin Firth being a supporting actor so felt a little weird, but julie andrew's character is amazingly funny

I remember I was sooo confused in this movie...I was like, 13 when I saw it though, maybe it's good and I just don't remember it, but I vaguely recall renting it only because of Colin Firth only to be hugely disappointed. I might have to reevaluate now that I actually have some kind of taste in movies...

A more updated version of the film High Society. Very funny in places, Makes you laugh out loud. Colin Firth as the stirring nephew is brilliant.

I like the British Loyal stuff, so I was having a good time watching this world of Hollywood and Kent a few decades ago. Julie Anrews is ok but, in my opinion, the one who "steals" the movie is Sophie Thompson playing "Moxie"; the loyal servant who becames rich for one day.

What happens when a english Lord decides to wed an american moviestar? It throws the aristocratic Marshwood household in a turmoil. I just love this film - not only because of the fabulous acting of Julie Andrews, Colin Firth, Stephen Fry and Sopie Thompson.... it's generally a really fun movie and I can watch it over and over again! All my friends loved it too !
