Plot:
Liked it a lot, makes me want to learn Italian though. Really started to like the messed up characters, was hoping the story would go on and on.
The amount of hysterical dialogue in this film is extraordinary, even for an Italian drama about infidelity. At times, the Laura Morante character's incessant screeching threatens to sink the whole film. She's very beautiful certainly - but few men would have needed to meet Monica Belucci before they started thinking about walking out of such a relationship! At 138 mins, the film is far too long to comfortably maintain such levels of intensity and, by the end, the viewer is left feeling quite exhausted, with any fantasies they may previously have entertained about passionate affairs with beautiful Italians shoved firmly to the recesses of their mind.
not bad, but i wasn't convinced by the story. the main woman character (not bellucci) seems completely crazy in the first half and then normal in the second, without any real explanation. i didn't really identify with any of the characters either.
Oh my God what can I say? It's the perfect picture of "could have, should have, would have". The greatest love you could ever have and yet you choose not to have it... This story got to me deeply. A must see for all romantics out there.
