this movie is so real and it depicts real people and real problems in our society. i really strongly feel a connection with this movie becuz it has alot of stuff that i have seen people deal with within my lifetime. it also shows that anyone can get addicted to harmful drugs. and that its not always on purpose. people should show more caution to who they trust and it might not always be the right person that is your friend. but a person needs to think how that person really affects u and if life might just be better without them.

Psh... will every1 stop the, "I'm never going to do drugs now, not that I ever would before" bullshit. When will people learn that "drugs" all do different things, have different risks and not all are addictive. Yes this film should put you off doing certain types of drugs such as smack, and yes you can become dependant on some weight loss pills, which are genrally illegal. Do you homework on drugs as individual substances and dont take the view that all illegal substances are life threatening, addictive and therefore highly dangerious.

    Ok... rant over.

A funny, gross, sad, & hysterical movie, all at once! At times I found it difficult to watch bc I had come to identify with, & be repulsed by, the characters, their dilemmas & their choices. LOL, eww, ...shit,... lmao, throughout the entire movie!

Kids in highschool should be forced to watch this movie!!

a damn good movie, great editing, one of my favorites but didnt influence me in the slightest on the whole drug use prevention front. thats a choice you have to make and if your gonna watch this film just to convince yourself not to try drugs then dont watch it. thats not the point of this movie. this movie is a peephole into the lives of people who are victims of circumstance, lacking the will power to overcome said circumstance and consequently attaining their just rewards. watch it because its edgy and because it is a masterpiece of modern cinema not because you think its an anti-drug propoganda campaign.

This has to be one of my favorite movies of all time. It is so real and something everyone should see before they die. Everything about Requiem for a Dream is amazing from the acting to the soundtrack to the direction, I love it. It is one of those movies that you see once and can't stop thinking about.

    I loved this movie,
I loved every part of this movie!
I think that its so realistic and it got to the point, and it got a message across, Yes I dont think 12 year olds should be watching something like this, but maybe they should. Maybe they should see what drugs do to people. Yes it doesnt happen to all people, but it a wake up call.
Besides every actor in this movie is great, Especailly Jared Leto!

this movie is like a miniature of life. everything runs fast, you watch them push off a million times, then you see sara goldfarb and her addiction to pills, swallowing them in groups... it really grips on to the pit of your stomach and flips it araound in the air... anyone who sees it, who really sees it must have been touched by it. everybody there is humiliated and their lives are ruined... and they never saw it coming...
    real life, real life.
    you pity them all
    you say i'm so lucky
you feel like a horrible person for wanting more with your life
and you just want to kill yourself
this film rocked my world, it shocked and amazed me. i haven't felt anything near what i felt with this movie abt any other movie. masterpiece. a big applause for the creator.
masterpiece indeed... even the direction just swirls you down. beautiful.

Movies are created to evoke emotions when watched. Anyone who watches this movie feels what the director wants you to feel. Wheather you're heavily familiar with the characters or ghastly disgusted with them, you feel something. And that is exactly what director Darren Aronofsky set out to do. Hate this movie or Love this movie; give it 4+ for a job-well-done!

Extremely well made film, nearly flawless in it's execution. Everything done in this film is done with pin-point precision as Aronofsky works the camera, the actors, the dialogue, the effects, the sound, and especially the editing. A marvelous film that deserves every piece of accolade that it receives.
