It was ok , i was expecting much more from the movie story and some new characters to spicy things up i guess this is it for the resident evil movies. Unless they star over fresh with Code Veronica
This movie was better the second one. The first one was very best. From the ending of this movie I can tell there's gonna be a 4th one. This movie is so cool. The ending was awesome. Zombies are COOL!!!
this movie disappointed me with its confusing cinematography and choppy editing. Though i really enjoyed the film and i am glad that they didn't hold back with blood and gore because the action scenes were fucking amazing. All in all definitely something you want to see in theatres, and something i will buy when the trilogy comes out. This movie kicks ass
Resident evil: Extinction is a very weird/scary/creepy movie that I have only scene once and will never see it again. It gives you a fright along with a lot of being grossed out. She The lady does fabulous job of acting scared and of being really brave.
It was much better than i thought it would be...it did kinda suck and all the fighting kinda sucked too bu it was still great to watch not scary at all and zombies looked weak...i enjoy resident evil because i am a fan of the games and love the whole story of the series...this kinda sucked but then again it was still entertaining to watch for small part.
Resident eviiiiiiiiiiil we all rememeber on the games that Big eye ball with the deep voice it only says the title but that says it all ...
Resident Evil
mwhahaha!
An average movie. The zombie threat is still present, but when you've got a desert to run in,it's not too scary. Some references to the games, but not many. More of a departure from it's source.
This second sequel to the 2002 original kind of comes off as trying to hard to be a bunch of other current trendy movies and showcases unnessecary C.G. techniques instead of faithfully portraying it's source material the Resident Evil video games series.
Director Russell Mulcahy seems more interested in making Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter look pretty as most all close-ups of the actresses are obviously "touched-up" to reduce skin imperfections. Which in the context of this movie, set 5 years after R.E: Apocalypse, does not make a whole lot of sense considering that survivors of the virus would not be eating very well plus being exposed to the sun. Yes it is just a movie, but in a "zombie" movie people are not suppose to look glamorous.
In Addition, this film is plagued (pun intended) by the "running zombie". No, zombies are not suppose to sprint at full speed or climb the Eiffle Tower replica - neither are featured in a Resident Evil game (R.E.4 doesn't count, they were not zombies in the traditional sense). This particular scene was quite pointless and boring.
What happened to the game characters? The character Claire Redfield was never in the military or just a natural leader. And I guess Jill Valentine and the little girl Angie Ashford just rode off into the sunset for their own little adventure - their existence is never mentioned.
Even with these odd omissions and style choices, there are some shining geniune flashes of R.E. goodness.
The Tyrant looks convicing and very R.E. game-ish! It's quite clever how Dr. Issacs injects himself with the T-Virus, very similar to what the video game character William Birkin did to become an unstoppable force. Out of the three movies, the look of zombies is best here and not hidden by that horrible strobe effect as in the second film (what the hell was Alexander Witt thinkin'?). Plus the crow gathering scene strengthens the film and is interesting and intense. Hairs stood-up over my body when Alice finally shows up in this sequence. (Probably the best scene in the movie!)
As a viewing experience this film is not as cheesy as R.E: Apocalypse, however is a little TOO Sci-Fi and not enough zombie "brain-eating" horror.
R.E: Extinction adds to overall the most successful video game to movie adaptation franchise, and I'd definitely watch a fourth installment!!
(Bring it on Paul Anderson, maybe you should direct this time though...)
DVD WORTHY:
Sure why not, give it a spin!
BLU-RAY (Hi-Def) WORTHY:
YES! I actually think this film benefits from being experienced in Hi-Def and on a smaller more intimate screen.
good movie lyked it alot made me jump alot when I was watching it lol Very goood but I wish the graphics were better... my fav. out of all of them, other than the seen from the first movie with the lasers that was my fav scene out of all movies.
i think this was probably the best of the three, or at least my favorite. i love the desert setting for this movie, it make Mila look even better. great action, though the whole psychic thing was a tad bit out of nowhere...i guess it was alright, but it was just uneeded. still, it was great, loved it.
As good as the other two, very enthralling and entertaining. The action is even better, Alice comes back stronger and faces a new enemy. If you liked the first two movies, you will surely like this one as well.
