  The first Rest Stop was a decent horror outing, but this sequel is a mediocre and poorly crafted sequel to the first. The ideas were interesting for this sequel; unfortunately the execution is dull, lazy and uninspired. The first Rest Stop wasn't perfect, but it was entertaining and the concept was good, however you saw that there was a lot more that could have been done with the ideas expressed in the first film. Rest Stop 2 unfortunately doesn't really deliver and has good ideas destroyed by a very bad cast and bad directing. The film could have been done much better, especially with the fact that I thought that the first Rest Stop was a decent little horror flick. The film wasn't anything extraordinary, but it was entertaining enough for what it was. This sequel could have been very good or decent at best. But it wasn't. The film was a waste of time, and you could see that there were good ideas shrouded in a mediocre script. A shame, but in the end what are you going to do. Rest Stop 2 is a bad sequel to a decent horror film that doesn't do anything good with its material, and it suffers from a weak cast and bad directing. Personally, I think that the film should have gotten a rewrite before being put into production. The film could have been good, and there was lots of potential with this sequel, unfortunately it was ruined by a bad script.

  This sequel of horror-thriller straight-to-DVD film is injected with slight differentiation by the supernatural element that is present throughout, where ghostly spectres and a family of evangelical psychopaths appear to each of the characters to increasingly confusing and bizarre effect. This, however, does not salvage <i>Rest Stop 2</i> from mediocrity.

  I didn't remember the first one very well, so I had to go to the wikipedia page to refresh myself. As it turns out, this was both a good and bad idea in that the second films takes the fairly thin but straightforward concept of the original and turns it completely on it's ear. Unfortunately, while the expansion of concept is admirable, it is still more of the same, and perhaps less potent for showing and knowing more. Characters also do things which make zero sense, which got annoying. Watchable for genre buffs, not worth it for anyone else.

  This one tells more of a story. I thought it was just as good as the first installment. It had some pretty bloody/disturbing scenes. But it was alot humorous than the last one, which I idn't quite think was a good thing, consider the fact that the first one was a little more serious. Bu over all, it was good, and although much different from the last one, I still enjoyed it.

  One year after the disappearance of Jesse and Nicole, Jesse's brother Tom (a corporal in the Army,) returns from Iraq for a ten days leave with the intention to seek our his brother Jess (Joey Mendicino), who disappeared while heading to California with his girl-friend Nicole (Julie Mond). He drives his truck with his girlfriend Marilyn (Jessie Ward) followed by his geeky friend Jared (Graham Norris) in his old car to California trying to track his brother. Soon, they come upon the rest stop where the two people were brutalized. Unfortunately for Tom and his friends, the murderous yellow-truck-driving madman and the psychotic fanatical family still haunts the roadside looking for victims and they're next on his route.

  Reat Stop 2 follows the brother of one of the characters from the first one as he is just back from war and decided he wants to take a shot and look for his missing brother who has been gone a year now with his girlfriend and buddy in tow they start taken the same roads that his brother did in the first one running into a weird gas station attendent along the way that shows them how to get to the now infamous rest stop were they end up seeing images of there dead friends and come face to face with the driver of the yellow truck. What i found to be a really good follow up to the first Rest Stop had all the same elements that made me a fan of the orignal but was missing something that usually happens with all sequels still not a bad watch.
