When the reward seems to be a huge treasure, Siegfried ignores the curse that lies on the hoard - which now seems to endanger his love to beautiful Norse warrior queen Brunhild.

  found it by coincidence as never notice to have it on my shelf...great fantasy epic from the old world of celtic sagas.keeps far from reality true 4 hours relax..

  I have always love the german Gotter und helden taten, with the legend of Siegfried being my number 1 fav. This movie captures it so well, from the arrogance of Siegfried to the beauty of Brunhilde. Totally amassing and a must see.

  I remember the "saga of the nibelungs" from my childhood. (Growing up i Germany)Kinda nice to hear/see about it again...refresh my memorie. The story ws nicely told, a little long but I enjoyed it. I did like the cast, think they did a good job.

  i was amazed the first 2minutes of the movie, after that i was bored. all credit to the sound thats it.

  Baring The Lord Of The Rings (which was incidentally loosely based upon the story this film was made from), I can't think of any Fantasy films that could top this. Hugely underrated.
