Critic Reviews

  • Staci Layne Wilson, Buzzine Magazine

Fans of kitsch will get off on the florid dialogue, the soap-opera meets sword and sorcery vibe, and the presence of Uwe Boll's favorite vixen, Kristanna Loken.

  • Scott Weinberg, DVDTalk.com

Provided you don't watch this type of movie for the acting performances, Dark Kingdom isn't a half-bad little time-waster.

  • James O'Ehley, Sci-Fi Movie Page

The first hour is rather silly and the plot lacks focus, but things actually improve in the second half . . .

I picked this up fully expecting some horrible fantasy crap fest. There are a lot of them out there. But this was actually pretty good. it was a very accurate retelling of the Ring saga and a very good one at that.

Bad acting, pretty ok movie, even though many things felt shamelessly ripped from Lord of the Rings.

  • Chad R

This director could give Uwe Boll a run for his money for putting out this lump of crap. This movie sucks wrinkled yambag.
