A so-so pilot for a possible Sci Fi Channel series that was never picked up. The acting and direction are quality, though.

What a shame this was Kevin Smith's last movie. Kevin Smith from Hercules/Xena not Clerks and Silent Bob. He actually died on the set, some weird acident. Very sad, he will be MISSED.

I may be slightly overrating this TV movie because I was a huge fan of Farmer's epic, but I was so exhilarated when I saw it materialize on the screen, and so disappointed when it did not make into a series, that I could not give this unsuccessful pilot less than four stars.

This movie had potential, but fell through the cracks. To bad.

Hale leads a revolt and joins with others on a large boat to explore this mysterious new world.

GOOD BUT NO WHERE AS GOOD AS THE BOOKS - A SERIES WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER

Singular start idea. Simplistic Processing. Good entertainment all things considered

interesting enough to keep me somewhat glued to the tv for a change. the flaw to this one was mark twain with his spotlessly perfect and white teeth. ummmm?. ok? on a better note it starred emily lloyd who i haven?t seen in anything in over 10 years.
