5 Stars for the cast. The movie itself is only so-so. Not to be missed if you're a Rat Pack fan.
One of the rare chances to see Bing and Frank together (see also High Society).
even though there was sadness around the making of this movie, it was great to see Dean, Frank, Sammy and Bing...
With this film it's not that the production values are so great, or the acting, for that matter, but the music is wonderful.
Great music and some show stopping performances liven up what is a pretty bland story. Worth seeing just to see all these guys having so much fun.
one of the most fun films Ive ever seen. the music was great and the actors just looked like they had fun making this one. One of my favorites of all time.
Rat Pack movies aren't rocket science, but that's a good thing. Sammy Davis Jr is excellent in this one.

These guys are about as hardcore as a bag of wet hammers. When doing gangster movies there's a certain level of credibility involved. The involvement of the Rat Pack and Bing Crosby shot this movie's credibility straight to Hades.
A great assemblage of talent. Sinatra, Martin, Davis and Crosby all complement each other and are allowed to shine in the film's great music numbers. The first Rat Pack film I saw and will always be one of my favorites.
My other favorite Rat Pack flick. Also the only musical I've seen with a song about guns, that manages to make them seem as though they shoot happiness and sunshine instead of bullets. Gotta love Sammy Davis, Jr..
The Rat Pack bring a great deal of charm to a rather silly and frothy film. It gets particularly exuberant when a city band swings by a courthouse and aids Sinatra in singing "My Kind of Town." Martin is the coolest cat in the room as always.
Now I love this Film forone reason! Bang Bang! Sammy Davis Jr in that one clip steals the whole film for me... worth seeing just for that... now wheres that telephone...
*blink* Did I just not "get" this movie? Or was it really just as ridiculous and disjointed as I saw it? I mean all of a sudden it's like they couldn't figure out how to end it so they threw in this really bizarre ending. However, I will admit that a few of the songs ("Style" and "My Kind of Town") were moderately interesting. So that maybe bumps it up a tiny wee bit.
