    hahaha... chewbaca

I never really watch Robot Chicken that much before seeing this and it continues to be absent from the shows I do watch during the week. However, I am a huge Star Wars fan and when I heard that there would be a parody of it on Robot Chicken, I made sure I would have Cartoon Netwo...( read more)rk on the night it aired. I had seen Robot Chicken before and hadn't been too impressed but I must admit I was not disappointed with the half hour special of Robot Chicken: Star Wars.

So many classic Star Wars scenes are twisted and turned into comedy with strange happenings at every bend. The Emperor on the collect call with Darth Vader asking "what the hell is an Aluminum Falcon?", Darth Vader being confronted by Jar Jar Binks aboard a Star Destroyer , and Luke and Palpatine having a 'yo mama' fight during the climax of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. There were so many classic scenes I couldn't stop laughing through most of it. Seth Green really did a great job.

Some parts weren't so great though. During the end things didn't seem to be that great. The last sequence on ice is really really bad. A few other scenes I barely smiled. I believe that Green and the people working with him just failed to come up with stuff so they went with whatever came to them at the end. There are 3 or 4 scenes which I would fast forward through if you are watching it somewhere, trust me they aren't funny. The rest, however, is golden and will be hilarious to anyone watching it. Pretty much if you love Star Wars, you'll like this. Listen for George Lucas in his cameo and be prepared to laugh.

At a mere 23 minutes long, this Robot Chicken feature is flat out hilarious in its no holds barred parody of the much beloved franchise. The jokes are fresh and fast combines with fun animation. The major failing is that it's just a bunch of Star Wars related bits from the show w...( read more)ith no links or linear story. In that respect Family Guy tackled the franchise far better. Still, Robot Chicken is a fantastic show to have in small doses anyway. Great fun!!

Palpatine: [on the phone with Darth Vader] Vader! How's my favorite Sith?... Whoa whoa whoa... whoa, whoa. Just - slow down. Huh? What do you mean they blew up the Death Star? Fuck! Oh, fuck! Fuck! FUCK!... Who's "they"?... What the hell is an Aluminum Falcon?
    [later]

Palpatine:...( read more) What?... Oh, oh, "just rebuild it"? Oh, real fucking original. And who's going to give me a loan, jackhole, you?... You got an ATM on that torso Lite-Brite? Now get your seven-foot-two asthmatic ass back here, or I'm going to tell everyone what a whiny bitch you were about Padama-may or Panda Bear or whatever the hell her name is!...

Better than the Family Guy episode - Blue Harvest, the usual 10-15 minute show, created by Seth Green, has been expanded to a full 25 minutes for a special episode devoted to Star Wars.

For those unfamiliar, Robot Chicken is a show centered around the use of stop motion with mainly toys and action figures to create a variety of different sketches that are usually darkly humorous and very politically incorrect.

The results of this episode apply mainly to Star Wars fans, but that being said, it is hilarious. Easy jokes and inside jokes combine to make one of the funniest Star Wars related media to hit a mass audience around.

There is only one or two skits that I don't find infinitely rewatchable, but that's nothing when I'm laughing at everything else. Top it all off with a star studded cast, including even Jar Jar Binks himself, as well as some top animation for the show that this is, and you have a quality episode of Robot Chicken that equals hilarity.

Luke Skywalker: Your overconfidence is your weakness.
Palpatine: Your faith in your friends is yours.
Luke Skywalker: Not my faith in yo momma...
    Palpatine: What was that?
Luke Skywalker: I said yo momma's so fat, Jabba the Hutt said DAAAAAMN!
Palpatine: Well, your mother is so ugly she put the 'ug' in 'ugnaught!'
Darth Vader: Ohh, yo momma fight!
[Cut to next scene. Luke and Palpatine are on stage in front of a crowd]
Luke Skywalker: Yo momma's so stupid, she spent all day saying 'am not' to R2!
Palpatine: Your mother is so fat, that Ben Kenobi said 'That's no moon, that's yo momma!'
Luke Skywalker: Yo momma's so stupid, she thought Jar Jar came with pickles pickles!

A must have for STAR WARS and Robot Chicken fans! This is hilarious from beginning to end. Right from the start it had me laughing with the AT-AT sketch and ending is with the chickens doing the star was theme is great! Cameos from Lucas, Best, Fatone and Hamill add to the hilari...( read more)ty. One of the best sketches is McDowell's Imperial Orientation. He does it perfectly!
The only one I didn't get was the Zuckuss Show sketch. That one just wasen't funny.
I recommend getting the DVD because the included on air bumps are just as good as the special was.
Even though it's short, the laughs are pretty continous throughout.
    END OF CREDITS: Short sketch

    "Your overconfidence is your weakness."
'Your faith in your friends is yours."
"Not my faith in yo momma..."
    "What was that?"

Not long ago in a galaxy not far away comes Robot Chicken: Star Wars, which brazenly combines the satirical sensibilities of Seth Green and Matthew Senreich's stop-motion animated characters with the memorable moments and favorite characters of the Star Wars universe - including, its creator, George Lucas. Whether it's Jar Jar meeting Darth Vader or the battle of "Yo Momma" jokes, such funny humor is everywhere and I like it so much. This Robot Chicken special is the must-have for Star Wars fans. Featuring the voices of Abraham Benrubi, Adam Talbot, and Ahmed Best.
