as far as the plot is concerned, fair enough. the music is undeniably great though. the vocals that wahlberg used is insane! Whew!
Mark Wahlberg is great but Jennifer Aniston is miscast. The soundtrack is great though if you love old school metal.

I intially wanted to watch it for Dominic West but as he didn't have a very big part, i was stuck with watching Mark Wahlberg prancing around and singing which i quite enjoyed. But its slow in parts not much to the story however, i like the ending!

This movie actually captured some moments from someones life that I know [except he was a bass player]. Nifty.
I actually found this movie very introuging and I really liked it. Maybe beccasue i've alwys loved the whole "rockstar" scene and everything. And the music wasn't so bad either...pretty entertaining.
Is a nice heavy metal movie,but in the end i have the impression to be telling a poser guy history,not a evolution like a metalhead musician.

Rather depressing, but gives good insight into how much the life of a rockstar actually sucks, instead of glorifying it like so many other movies.

Mark Wahlberg stars in the movie loosely based on the Judas Priest Rob Halford story. Great touching story featuring great 80s music written by Zakk Wylde. Definately a must see.
good movie. saw this back in 2001. and great songs too. by the way, Mark Wahlberg looked a bit like Dave Mustaine of Megadeth in some scenes
