  When I first heard that Rockstar is going to have 14 songs in it, I was skeptic about it. As it turns out, the songs are the best and worst thing about the film. Worst because the 14 songs are splattered all over a lame story ending up in a disjointed narrative which makes it even more lame. Editing is a mess. The editor must be totally clueless about the director's vision. The film keeps on referring to Jim Morrison and the story idea of a troubled singer might be inspired from him. But I really doubt if Jim's music had anything to do with such a bland love story. This is typical Bollywood fare just trying too hard to be epic. And God, don't I love those songs..
