MCT:March 20, 2007I'm a little disappointed with myself that, after watching an anime with such a unique and promising premise like Roujin Z, I didn't really enjoy it. I can barely explain why, either. The three thoughts I had that stuck with me after the movie were, in order, "This is trying way too hard", "What the hell is going on?" and "...that's it?" This is the first time that I've never liked a movie and couldn't quantify the reasons in words. Maybe I was just disappointed in it, after reading a few generally positive reviews and then expecting a lot more than I got out of it. Who knows.

MCT:March 3, 2007This is a shining star of a movie among the films by Katsuhiro Otomo. As a fan of all of Katsuhiro's works, I really like this movie. The plot is entertaining and fun, the artwork is gorgeous and so very smooth. (Watch Memories by Katsuhiro, the second episode "Stink Bomb" may look familiar...) Overall, I love this movie, it is outstanding in the anime industry.
