Okay, I realize that not everyone enjoys a dialog driven film, but when the dialog is coming from two hot, entwined, butt-naked women does it really matter? Seriously?

Room in Rome is an Italian film that follows two women and there sexual escapades in a hotel room.
While this movie tries desperately hard to be sypathetic and artistic, it does nothing more than recycle love story trash that breaks itself down into two different intertwining serpents. Three minutes of storytelling and three minutes of untriggered softcore porn, an alternating pattern that goes on for two hours.
Nothing about how these two met or why the less curious half continues to be involed make any sense or are even explained.
The writing is bad. And I mean bad. It's trying to be a love story, but neither lead acts liek they're in love. They act like they bored and just to to occupy there own time. The script piles on nauseating word choices, progressive pretentiousness and sexplotives. The acting performances only make these traits worse.
Other than the atrotious writting and little attention to character development, of which Room in Rome seems to be most about, is the constant reminder of sex. As the film went on it seemed like there always had to be someone completely nude on screen. The movie would stopped at a hault if there wasn't full frontal exposure during every frame.

Julio Medem has created a film of rare beauty, intoxicating romanticism and scorching eroticism. The girls spend almost the entire film nude, the camera slowly panning over their warmly lit skin and lingering in loving close-up on the passion-lit faces. To a soundtrack of lush pop music and opera and amidst the classical paintings that cover the walls and comment on the action, the girls engage in games of fabricated identity, only gradually pealing off the layers of fantasy to reveal the often tragic secrets that have made them who they are.
It is perhaps ironic that a film about a relationship between two women should be one that drew me into its story more deeply than any romantic film I can remember, and yet I could identify with both and fell in love with both. What makes the film so powerful is not the sex, erotic as that is, but the by turns playful and compassionate interactions between the women. This is an open spontaneous encounter between two people which necessarily changes them, and it is one which captures the rich joy of life.
The film has the classical beauty of a film by Bertolucci or Visconti, but unlike their best films, which tend to look at the darker side of life, "Room in Rome" is ultimately, in spite of some powerful moments of angst, a feel-good movie.

The plot of the drama movie consists of the time the two young women spend together overnight in the hotel room in the center of Rome to have a physical adventure that touches their very souls. I thought this film was soft core porn with a plot attached, or a serious work of art with lots of nudity with two actresses, Elena Anaya and Natasha Yarovenko, for one hour. Whoo!
It tell us about being open to new experiences, about belief in kindness and good human nature, love and tenderness, life in its very sense. It also gives you a formula how to fall in love and then say goodbye the way it hurts no one. It gives you a felling of happiness.

Two women meet in Rome, go to one's hotel room, and must navigate a labyrinth of their lies and insecurities on their way to love.
I must admit that the original allure of this film was that it was alluring, the original attraction the attractiveness of its stars. But as I watched it, I wondered about the line between a sexy film about sex and a movie that degrades into pornography. I think because the actresses, who spend most of the first two acts naked, seem comfortable with the content, they make the film's audience comfortable as well; likewise, I never thought the filmmakers were attempting to provoke a sexual response in the audience, rather honestly portraying its characters' sexuality.
It would be a disservice to their talents to call Elena Anaya and Natasha Yarovenko beautiful because their performances easily over-shadow their beauty. These actresses are emotionally naked as well as physically, and even as their characters lie, the performances are true, revealing the insecurities that lead to their lies.
I did think the film wandered and meandered a bit in the third act and overused a thematically appropriate song. A good fifteen minutes could have been cut without causing too much bleeding.
Overall, Room in Rome is a sexy, well-made drama and worth the time during both the day and late night.

"Room in Rome" starts with Alba(Elena Anaya) inviting Natasha(Natasha Yarovenko) up to her hotel room which she says has never happened to her before since she is really not that kind of girl. After she finally accepts and after some discrete cuddling, Natasha tries to make a break for it while Alba is asleep but leaves her cell phone behind in the rush. So, all she has to do is get past Alba's sinewy frame to retrieve it which is nothing Max(Enrico Lo Verso) has not seen before in his working at the hotel. This time around, Natasha is much less hesitant before Alba starts to tell her a little about her past.
While it does take some getting used to the soft focus photography, "Room in Rome" is a casually passionate and erotic movie that also goes below the surface of natural stereotypes of butch and femme with more than its share of circumspection. So, it's only fair in a city that was supposedly founded by twins; that in the stories told there are parallels and possibilities in the lives the characters lead and in the lives they could be living. My only serious quibbles are with a drawn out ending and wondering if Spaniards and Italians can so easily understand each other.

Erotic doesn't even begin to describe this pseudo-foreign, pseudo-lesbian-coming-of-age film about two women who cross paths in Rome and end up together, naked in a hotel room, telling each other lies about themselves, mixing in hints of the truth, attempting to get to know one another. Struggling with their "other" lives, Alba (Elena Anaya), a mousey lesbian with a troubled past holds the reigns of the evening, trying to enlighten Natasha (Natasha Yarovenko), a heterosexual Russian bombshell who is about to get married. Never quite pornography, "Room In Rome" toes the line gracefully, delivering one of the sexiest films I've ever witnessed, while still developing a strong character based narrative between two females shedding light on an unmistakable, yet ultimately tragic love.

A film that does not have the best story in the world but it gets a bit interesting. Everything is "an evening" with 2 women who spend a large part of the movie naked in his "Room in Rome"

Awful, tedious, incredibly boring film. The only reason for keeping your eyes open: constant nakedness. That has seldom been more unerotic. Really, Medem, hire a lesbian to write those sex scenes next time! Honestly. Not even worth watching for that, guys & girls, stick to the trailer, the plot and good moments are contained in that already.

Room in Rome was a romantic drama, directed by Julio Medem, who brought up a story about two young women, that had just met and joined into an intimate, passionate journey that marked their bodies and souls very deeply. It was hard for me to decide whether this movie was a soft porn, with a plot attached, or a serious work of art with lots of nudity. Elena Anaya was extremely beautiful, and so was Natasha Yarovenko. so it was impossible to complain about the nudity. What mattered were the characters and the way they develop and interact with each other, it seemed so natural. The story unfolded through the night into the early morning, before each woman departed.Acting and directing and the music score chosen for this was just wonderful.
