A sweet film with some good performances. It succeeds because It doesn?t get too sentimental or preachy.

    Movie of hope and accomplishment.

A theme that?s very rarely portrayed as natural as this film was able to, it dealt with the issue in hand in a realistic manner; whilst keeping a realistic sense of humour too, the extremities of the emotions allowed the storyline to flip in a moment?s notice, which created good ...( read more)Drama.

Brilliant performances from all envolved, James McAvoy?s character was truly infectious and really brought the rebel side out of the story and with regards to Steven Robinson, well I was just reminded of the great Daniel Day Lewis?s portrayal of Christie Brown in My Left Foot (co-incidence both films had Brenda Fricker in them??).

I have personal links to the theme of this film, but have rated it according to the film and not my personal feelings. This is life in the real world, with tears and laughter thrown in for realistic measure.

directed by damien o'donnell who also done "east is east" and starring james mcavoy of "the last king of scotland" fame who's very good here too! more so infact! it's a paddy film about two chaps with disabilities, one who lives life for the day caring not to divulge something to...( read more) his new found friend, one who's never really lived at all and the profound effect that they have on each others lives. it may sound like a made for tv daytime movie but it's not. the characters are amazing. a strong four!

Two disabled English blokes meet while institutionalized. One is able to apply for independent living and they decide to share a flat together.
It was touching, despite the sad ending.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's very inspiring and makes you think about your life. Steven Robertson deserves an oscar award for this. McAvoy was good as well but his role wasn't as demanding. It's a must see and definitely a feel good movie.

it sucked that it had to repeat most of what he said. It could be left as a puzzle .. sometimes

This movie is absolutely beautiful and moving! James McAvoy and Steven Robertson are stunning in their part of disabled men. This theme is too rarely showed, especially with this genuineness. The movie delivers a message in a subtle way. This movie juste need to be feel.
