Professor Perez (Anthony Quinn) is the laid back educator from Harlem who is appointed college president after a resignation over student protests. Rhoda (Ann-Margret) is the graduate student who sleeps with him. Rossiter (Gary Lockwood) and Dempsey (Paul Winfield) are the student radicals who force the president to step down. The popular Perez mediates between the school board and the students.
