Colin Hanks was really sweet in this movie a couple of times

This film needs a prescription for a plot. A very basic story listed as a thriller. The only thrill was in my imagination because I thought these actors (Eric Balfour and Colin Hanks) would be in something that was interesting. The girls in the film were cute. The plot about ...( read more)a young man who lies to his lady and his best friend and gets into deeper and deeper trouble sounds better than the actual viewing experience. Lots of driving scenes, a rave scene, a drug-fueled scene in the desert and some drug dealers in Los Angeles and "supposedly" San Marcos, Mexico. Basically, there was a lot of wasted time on the screen when there should have been some dialogue and some entertainment. It took over half of this film before something that may have been considered a "thrill" took place. I would not recommend this to anyone even if you like these actors.

    Alan Tudyk is always great.

The first 30 or so minutes were rather predictable, it's a film about smuggling drugs so someone has to OD on said drugs. After that it got more interesting and unexpected. Alan Tudyk was great. Towards the end some parts were easily predicted while others were genuine surprises....( read more) But man talk about a bleak movie it just all about how a few wrong decisions screw up not only your life but the lives of those around you. No one comes out a winner in the end not the bad ones, not the oblivious ones, not even the ones with good intentions.

A good if standard thriller about friends going to Mexico to score drugs, and everything goes awry. Strong performances.
