It's a feel good movie if that's what you are in the mood for.

Although the hospital scenes were inaccurate, I still couldn't help but love this movie. In order to bring about the miracle she needs, he sets out to win the Boston Mara...( read more)thon.

A 14 yr old boy (Ralph) in the 1950s who has lost his father to war and who's mother is in a coma needs a miracle. Adam Butcher who plays Ralph does a brilliant job and I hope to see more from him in years to come. Campbell Scott gives an inspiring performance as a young priest...( read more) who coaches Ralph in his impossible bid to run the Boston Marathon. This film is about the hope & faith placed in miracles, and perhaps seeing the real miracle is the faith itself that seeks it. This film also illustrates the saint that is within each of us.

Maybe a year or so ago I rented this film from Blockbuster based on the cast (Campbell scott, Jennifer Tilly). I thought it might be decent.

This is a kid who goes from a bit of a troublemaker to finding something to channel his energy into. He begins running as a punishment but then comes to think that if he wins the Boston Marathon, his mother will come out of her coma. This was a little odd but worth a look.

Such a nice feel-good movie. The actors are all pretty good and I especially like the fact that this movie is set in Hamilton, where I live. Watch this, if you want to see a nice entertaining movie about miracles and such. Plus, support CANADIAN movies.

A good movie coming-of-age type story centered around a catholic School in the 1950's. The theme of the story is 14 yr old Ralph (Adam Butcher) determined to run the Boston Marathon against the orders of Headmaster Father Fitzpatrick (Gordon Pinsent), and secretly coached by Fath...( read more)er Hibbert (Scott Campbell). Adam Butcher is so well cast as the charismatic, infectious Ralph, and Gorden Pinsent as his stern but well-meaning nemesis, that their power struggle is a joy to watch. Nurse Alice (Jennifer Tilly) also really adds to the fine cast. I loved the way the story realistically depicted Ralph's religious conflicts in everyday teenage life, especially dealing with teenage sexual urges
