It didn't suck that much, I was kind of surprised (given the original work was by Stephen King). A few scenes had me creeped out and all the mass deaths amused me (even thought it shouldn't). Very dark movie.
this has been the best movie i have EVER seen, its engrosing! i could be here all day if i had to describe how exellent it is so just buy it!
i love this movie, the acting is amazing. The cast is outstanding, This is right up there with The Stand as far as Rob Lowes performances. and Dan Byrd though he is not regretably credited on this website, is an amazing actor, He has a nack for horrors. though James Cromwell as amazing as an actor he is, hes not really the bad guy type.
Without a doubt the best movie ever made!!!! I Love it so damn much, I can't even describe it!! It's great!
1979 adaptation had bad make-ups, limited FX options, and Barlow's funny fangs. However it really had some scary moments. This 2004 version lacks every element a King adaptation should have: deep characters, a complex plot, and twisted scenes that make you flinch. It goes plain and simple till the end. Stephen King look-a-like Rob Lowe sucks, and only Hauer (Barlow) and Cromwell (Callahan) stand out. I felt sad that they made a lunatic servant out of Callahan at the end. Never let them make TV adaptations of great King stories.
