This stage version of Oscar Wilde's 1891 play is directed by Steven Berkoff and follows the story of Herod, who has deep affections for his step-daughter Salome. So taken is he with the girl that he promises her endless power and riches, as well as the head of John the Baptist served to her on a silver platter, if she'll treat him to the suggestive "Dance of the Seven Veils." After the dance is performed, Herod must make good on his promise.
