MCT:April 19, 2008There are few samurai films that I like better than this. The story is amazing, the animation is quite nice, and there is a lot of over the top sword fighting. After seeing this I almost carved a cross shaped scar into my cheek. But I don't like pain, so I simply drew a picture of my face with a scar on it.

A little bit boring sometimes and the story is a mess but in the end everything makes sense. These small flaws are compensated by the beauty of the scenes and also the fight scenes are amazing. The story is sad and depressing but consistent.

this movie is soooo good! it tells the ast of himura kenshin, a hitokiri battosai in active in the ishin shishi of the meiji revolution. i always cry when i see this movie!! you need to see this, especially if you like Rurouni Kenshin!

this movie was my first taste of rurouni kenshin, and definitely not my last! this movie fills in many of the plotholes left behind by the incomplete TV series, as well as making for an amazing story
