certainly ram's best works till date...perfect acting by the actors..big b and small b fit into the role perfectly
impactful dialouges, great story, and climax is worth watching. Great performance from kay kay, amitabh bachchan, and first time abhishek's mind blowing act.
Sarkar is one of my favourite movies, and despite I watched it now for 4th, 5th or 6th time, it still offers me its unique and amazing experience. The movie is inspired by the novel Godfather, and is Ram Gopal Varma?s (RGV) interpretation. It seems like that almost every department in the making of the movie has done a superb job. Its sound design and background score is great, and just advances the story telling. Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have done good jobs, and Kay Kay Menon is excellent. Tanishaa was also good, and Zakir Hussain has also proven himself. I think that Sarkar will be a memorable movie for almost the actors in the movie in their careers.
It?s amazing how RGV creates such kind of intense atmosphere by using silence, which will be found in the movie. The intense atmosphere also is a result of various elements like the direction, acting, and the great background score as mentioned earlier. You?ll even find this intense tone in romantic scenes as well with great success, which I think just tells how amazing the movie is made. The editing is excellent which gives ?right-to-the-point? story telling.
After so many great things with this movie, it?s difficult to understand how RGV made the horrible AAG after this amazing work.
Govinda, govinda, govindaaaaaa
this ram gopal verma's version of the 1970's classic Godfather stars Amitabh Bachchan in the title role. it's a gripping tale with good performances from amitabh and abhishek (especially in the second half)
I don't know how believable this is... I haven't got a clue about the Indian criminal network. Still, for a Godfather remake it was shot rather well. Not sure if the director intended to leave out the subtleties of the power struggles... seemed a bit shallow!
Sarkar...Overall a decent film. You can easily see RGV got his inspiration from "The Godfather" here. Thought the lead acting by Amitabh Bachchan in the role of Sarkar/The Godfather was strong, but the supporting roles could have been better. Alot of stern faces in this one. Seemed like only the villians could lighten up once in awhile. I wasn't bored though, so it wasn't that bad of a film. Heard a Sarkar sequel is on the way, hopefully it will be a bit better than the first outing.
a gr8 movie... everythin clicks... from amitabh bachan n abhishek bachan's power packed performances to d hauntin background score 2 d xceptional screenplay n direction of this movie wonder full... special mention 2 kay kay menon hu does an xceptional performance
Brilliant work by Ramu. Amitabh towers and Abhishek comes of age. Excellent tribute to the godfather. The screenplay is brilliant. The casting, direction and performances are top notch
just to imitate The Godfather, it requires a lot of talent.. that is how fine this film is made from the story of the godfater...
A superb performance by the emperor of Bollywood and also a mildly cool performance by the prince aswell...
the movie is awesome no doubt.
the director got inspiration from "the godfather" and he clearly mentioned it and it was the best part. audience can easily figure out the copied stuff.so directors should not hide their inspirations.
Ram gopal verma always do experiments with his movies even if they get flop. so, much appriciate.
the story was so good even the direction. he tried to make it differently..very good effort.great job even all the actors were best in their parts
Adopted by Godfather but the good thing is it's adopted and not remake or copied. Director has done a great job with lighting and camera angles. Everyone acted up to the mark specially Amitabh Bachchan.
