This movie was totally charming. I've liked Craig Ferguson ever since I first saw him on the 'Drew Carey Show".

I thought it was one of the cleverest comedies I've ever seen. Craig Ferguson and Brenda Blethyn are both really good actors (or actress, referring to the latter). An old (middle - aged) lady who grows weed? It sounds ridiculous, but it's actually original and almost ... poignant...( read more). Just see it - and you'll know what I mean.

There is so much to love in this sweet British drug comedy. The outstanding ensemble cast are brilliant, but none moreso than Brenda Blethyn's green thumbed widow. I could watch her in anything. Nice simple story, with loads of genuine laughs and such beautiful countryside to boo...( read more)t. Craig Ferguson (The Drew Carey Show) is great fun as the mischevious Scottish gardener and don't miss Bill Bailey as the hippy drug dealer. Worth revisiting if you ever need cheering up!

    An enjoyable British romp.

A clever little English film.... "Saving Grace" being a saying, somebody's saving grace is something they have which is usefull... & they have the main character's name as "Grace".

The film looks like an English TV drama, gets a bit daft as it go's on... The characters aren't dr...( read more)awn well enough to make you care for them.

I bought this film to see "Dr.Martin Blandford" as this is who "Doc Martin" of ITV drama is based... but it was a bit of a disappointment in that respect.

A really warm & touching film about friendship with a little grass thrown in for comedic relief. I enjoyed the film and all the different characters scattered throughout the film.

I wonder if the TV Show "Weeds" came off of this movie in some way.....It was good. The lady who played Grace was such a sweetheart. It was a good funny movie.

Cute and cheesy British comedy. The best part was the pub entertainment - the whole movie is worth it for the giggles in that moment. :)

Saving Grace has a lovely Cornish setting and Blethyn to recommend it, but mostly it's a contact mediocre. full review

Peter Travers, Rolling Stone

Blethyn's solid-gold charm turns Saving Grace into a comic high. full review

A.O. Scott, The New York Times

Ultimately, all the jokes exploit the same tired premise, which is the spectacle of variously dotty and stuffy Englishmen and women getting stoned, wittingly and not. full review

Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

We're left with a promising idea for a comedy, which arrives at some laughs but never finds its destination. full review

Stephanie Zacharek, Salon.com

It's a breezy and entertaining little charmer that works because it's not rendered on too precious a scale. full review

Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle

A rote treatment of a tired subject. full review
