After an amazing start this film went rapidly downhill. It's a stupid story and a is little contrived. Brilliantly shot, with a brilliant cast, just rubbish writing! Ridiculously overhyped.

As far as a war film is concerned this is the best I've seen. It seems to be as realistic as a movie can make war seem even though it is nothing like the real thing. Intense battle scenes and Spielberg depicted graphic death scenes as well. A must see for any war film fan or movi...( read more)
