Although the first Saw was my absolute favorite, this comes in second.
The thing I love about these movies is that the traps and characters are so fake it's unbeleivable. You have to love Jigsaw or John because he is just an old man DYING OF CANCER! You almost have to admire him. He thinks of every possible angle and then trap's people 'unworthy of life' by their own flaws.
The reason I love the third movie is because of the twist at the end. If only Jeff had known that killing Jigsaw was going to kill his wife. If only....
I love the traps in this movie more than any of the others and the characters are great. You fall in love with them and then you hate to see them in death. You know it's a great movie when you walk away feeling depressed about the ending. It's actually aweful. The last part is awesome and then the fourth just picks right up where the third left off.
Totally awesome. These are the kinds of movies that give serial killers brilliant ideas. Scary thought isn't it?
