January 22, 2008This is such a great film, it is clever and unsettling at the same time. I think some may be put off due to blood etc, but that is just one aspect of the film. Jigsaw has a masterplan, its not just about killing people its about teaching them a valuable lesson - appreciate life!

October 22, 2007a very disturbing and shocking that leaves you on the edge of your seat. finding ways to kill people without the hands on murdering very cleaver. a sick and twisted film from start to finish. cant wait till saw 4 hope it lives up to the rest. p.s. not for the faint harted

July 15, 2007THE BEST SO FAR!!!I didnt get into saw2 at first but the first scene was cool it just didnt grab me like this one did!Saw3 was a fantastick movie very gorey and also a good plot and i cant wait tell saw4 comes out it's supposed to come out on Halloween-07!!!!!!!!!

June 2, 2007I thought this film was very good. Like some others have said... sick but brilliant.
The way it is all planned out and acted etc amazes me. It was brilliant, and i also didn't expect the guy in on the floor to be the killer..cunning! At one point i thought the cop was the killer, whicih i suppose is one way why its so good..it manages to keep you guessing. I would deffinatly recommend it. More of a thriller than horror though, even if there was some gore.
Can't wait to see the other two. -

April 15, 2007I finally saw this movie last night and was absolutely terrified...I went to bed afterwards but couldn't get to sleep so I listened to my iPod all night...there was something about Saw and the bicycle that really freaked me out.

March 30, 2007I grew up on the video nasties of the 1980s. I love those films. They were fun. This is shit. Like Hostel, it's nasty for the sake of being nasty. It's not entertaining at all. I don't see the point of it. Don't get me wrong, it's not because I'm shocked and disgusted. This is the 21st Century, no one's really shocked by anything any more. If you want gore, watch the numerous videos of torture and murder available on the internet. I've seen those, I enjoy them sometimes. If you want fun horror watch Brain Dead, Evil Dead II or Cannibal Holocaust. There's no reason for Saw to exist other than to let 15 year olds impress their friends with their knowledge of "shocking" cynical Hollywood crap.

March 3, 2007The 1st and only real stand out title in the series (although Saw 2 did have a grander scale and just as many nasty shocks). The first time I watched Saw I knew I had 2 tell sum1 about it. It had THAT much ov an effect on me. The mystery narrative kept me on the edge ov my seat throughout the whole trip & the ending woz just the icing on the cake. Don't get me wrong, the film has its flaws (Cary Elwes overacts a great deal towards the end) but it's still a fukking awesome piece ov modern horror. Leigh Whannel and James Wan deserve their fame.

February 12, 2007I thought this film was great, disturbing and shocking. Unlike most films this was disturbing - very - and the end left me with my mouth hanging wide open. I would defiantely recommend this film.
