    Not bad.

CGI butchering of a classic cartoon that has been milked beyond recognition itself. Scooby translates terribly to film, but at least kids like it.

Be afraid, be kind of afraid. Doo happens! After two years of acrimony between egos that forced Mystery Inc. to close its doors, Scooby-Doo and his fellow crime-solving cohorts Fred, Daphne, Shaggy, and Velma are individually brought to a spring break resort to investigate strang...( read more)e paranormal incidents. Spooky Island owner Emile Mondavarious helps the gang reunite and know about fake ghouls and phony creatures as a way to solve the case and save the world.

Directed by Raja Gosnell, Scooby-Doo features great acting performances from the following cast:
    1.) Matthew Lillard (Shaggy)
    2.) Freddie Prize Jr. (Fred)
    3.) Sarah Michelle Gellar (Daphne)
    4.) Linda Cardellini (Velma)
    5.) Rowan Atkinson (Emile Mondavarious)

I remember watching episodes of the classic animated Scooby-Doo series on Cartoon Network when I was kid and liked seeing the gang take on adventures by solving mysteries. This is, of course, the main subplot of the live-action film remake, which looks to be very good with the four main human characters dressing up like their original incarnations. And while a real dog wasn't used - or was it? - the Scooby character looks real to me with all the computer graphics that were done to create his facial and body appearance. Sure the film has its share of childish (although PG-rated) humor, but at least it's fun for the whole family to enjoy. Time for me to get my own Scooby snacking... :)
