Sea Devils
Sea Devils was produced by a poverty-row concern called Standard Productions, which name could also describe the film itself. Sentenced to prison on circumstantial evidence, convicted murderer Edmund Burns escapes and signs on with a schooner bound for the high seas. The rest of the crew is comprised of thugs, pluguglies and cutthroats, so Burns feels right at home. As the schooner embarks upon a treasure hunt, swarthy first mate Walter Long stages a mutiny, not so much to get his hands on the treasure as to "have his way" with Molly O'Day, the captain's sweetheart.
