A beautiful film with inspiring women, relating their lives and their work. If I had to make a complaint, it would be that Arquette doesn't quite choose an entirely diverse group of women (outside of the 20 or so interviewees, salma hayek, alfre woodward, whoopi goldberg seem to ...( read more)be the only non-white or even non-blonde for that matter). And of course there is some silly references by some of the interviewees as to how acting is different from 'normal' and in some cases harder then being 'ordinary' which if they haven't done anything else, how would they know what normal is other than what they do. It would be nice to see something similar done with prominent women, across various creative fields and how they make their lives work.

A pretty cool documentary about women in Hollywood.

No real structrual form which weakens this doc but what several of the actresses have to say is interesting. Not great but a good try.

I will NOT see a Movie that has this Commie, Traitor, BITCH in it.
They don't have a LOW enough rating for her.
She can rot in the Hanoi Hilton, for what she did to Our troops during Vietnam.

    BURN BITCH, BURN

I really loved this documentary. Rosanna asks her peers if it is possible to balance work and a personal life and why aren't there better roles for women 30+.
She interviews a great group of actresses including; Salma Hayek, Vanessa Redgrave, Meg Ryan, Jane Fonda, her sister Pa...( read more)tricia Arquette and many more.
Their responses were very intelligent and interesting. Part of the reason I rate this documentary so highly is because you could take almost anything that is said and apply it to any North American woman.
Rosanna Arquette is very natural when she turns the camera on herself. She doesn't oversell herself, so you don't get the sense this project is a product of self-aggrandization, which is very important. It isn't even an attempt to stroke the egos of her fellow actresses (though it is obvious she admires them.)
There are some really honest moments, which I didn't expect.

Rossana does a fabulous job in this doc. So interesting to hear all these actresses talk about the business. If you like doc's you'll enjoy this.

A good documentary. Actresses must be "fuckable" to get a role. What a luck for the actors then..a lot of them would never land any roles if the demand was the same for men because many of them are "slimeballs"!!! Hollywood really stinks sometimes!
