Whimsical, telling fable about ordinary life and memorable star vehicle for Danny Kaye, playing the dual role of milquetoast in real life and he-man in his dreams.

Very entertaining adaptation of the famed book, and it is a perfect vehicle for Danny Kaye. He is terrific in the title role. Great fun, and it's filled with delightfully imaginative scenes.

Set aside that this movie was filmed before time began. The adventures of Walter Mitty are just plain fun. You will find yourself laughing at the awkward situations that Walter finds himself in. The underdog does sometimes win the girl. An inspiration for many movies.

Walter Mitty is a man who constantly escapes the confines of his boring life through day dreams. His world is suddenly turned upside down when he meets a mysterious woman who inadvertently draws him into a conspiracy of murder and hidden jewels.

This might just be my favorite...( read more) Danny Kaye film. The day dream sequences are Kaye at his comedic best and the dramatic scenes highlight his vulnerability and skill as an actor. There's an innocence and charm about this movie that makes it an enduring, timeless classic.
