I like the horror movies,when i reads the title of this movie i guessed that it is really horrible but when i saw it, it wasnt horror movie,my freinds said that they couldnt sleep coz they dreamt about nightmanes,any way this movie was amazing& johnny depp was acting in a perfect way he is like a monster lolz
The supposedly shocking twist was terribly concealed; I could see it coming one-fourth of the way through the movie.
Depp gives a spectacular performance, however, and is wonderful to watch.
Brilliant adaption of a Stephen King short story. Johnny Depp did a brilliant performance as a man going mad... opps i told you too much but magnificant work! And John Turturro, Maria Bello, Timothy Hutton, and Charles S. Dutton all did a great job as suporting actors/actresses.
love this movie so good, very creative and imaginative, has a good twist and the ending is spectacular. as said 'it doesn't matter how you start, it's the end that really counts'
I read Stephen King's short story a long time ago and only really wanted to see this for Johnny Depp's performance and I was not let down. Good adaptation for PG-13.
Aww... Such a shame I figured it all out way too damn soon! The twist flashed before my eyes even before I got to the middle of the movie which, unfortunately and instantly, took away the element of surprise I so truly appreciate. Well, tough luck for me!... Nonetheless, I gotta say it is a very good film with an interesting screenplay. A lot of mystery there sorrounding the whole plot and also some rather decent performances. And the ending... Couldn't have been better! Definitely far from the ordinary hollywoodesc movie endings. Kudos for that one! They still managed to surprise me a little bit, after all.
This film was better than I thought it would be. This is one of Johnny Depps best films and one of his most terrifying performances. I have never seen Johnny have blonde hair in a film before until I saw this and he looks really cool. The rest of the cast John Turturro, Maria Bello, Timothy Hutton and Charles S. Duttons performances were pretty rubbish. I thought Maria Bellos performance wsa the worst out of the whole cast. A very tense thriller with alot of crime, drama and often sci-fi involved. This looks like a horror film but I think it is just a psychological thriller like it says on the DVD. Not favourite Johnny performance but a really good one though.
This movie was kind of creepy. not in a scary way though, or even a bad way. I thought it was really good. Kind of a "surprise" ending to it. It also made me laugh a lot.

First I saw the movie and thought:slow, boring,inconsistent,predictable,then I found out it was based on a Stephen King story,for me this was the real twist,the real jaw-dropping thing!I haven't read the short story so I don't know whether it's better or not but this isn't Stephen King's best!I love Johnny Depp and he's doing a fine job here but I can't say it's a good movie only cause Johnny is in it!I read a review somewhere an its title was CORNY IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE.So true..
