A very funny premise, unfortunately riddled with mistakes but overall forgivable because Pryor and Wilder are so entertaining. A classic 80's comedy that's still funny today.

I just saw parts of this for the second time on tv. I didn't remember Kevin Spacey was one of the villains in this, but I don't think I knew who he was when I had first seen this. I love the concept and Pryor and Wilder pull off performances as a blind man and a deaf man (respe...( read more)ctively) pretty well. Unlike some of their other movie pairings, they do share a lot of screen time in this picture. I think the fight scenes by clock position, the car chases, and interrogation room scene are simply hilarious. Some of the humor is a little over the top, but everyone gives a committed performance so I'm giving it a full five stars.

A funny film starring Richard Pryor.

The remarkable duo of Pryor and Wilder reunite in this 80's classic comedy. Yes, it's a bit of a 'one-joke' movie that gets milked for all it's worth, but with laughs like this, who cares? The two leads are just so much fun and while it may be a bit dated, the comedic timing of R...( read more)ichard Pryor is pretty timeless. Joan Severance and a youngish Kevin Spacey make for a sinister duo of baddies, and even if you saw this way back when, I highly recommend revisiting this well loved classic from one of the truly great comedic duos.

Oddly amusing the first time round, but loses it's charm quickly.

Madcap 80's film. Comic genius pulled off brilliantly by two great comediens.

Well made and even better acted, See No Evil, Hear No Evil may not be a staple of the 80's comedy trend but it certainly is a genre great.

Gene Wilder, perfectly chosen as deaf guy Dave and Richar...( read more)d Pryor, perfectly chosen as blind guy Wally, bumble around on screen in a variety of funny and at times, touching ways. Gene Wilder is at his mad, tempormental and eccentric best whilst Richard Pryor plays the blind guy like a proper method actor, just turning it into comic gold instead. He mixed with blind people and trained himself to not even blink in his scenes. Amazing acting right there, to accompany his fantastic, witty delivery.

Directed well with nice pacing, See No Evil is non stop action and comedy at its most entertaining. Well written, with a great supporting cast (Kevin Spacey as a cold villain!!), See No Evil pulls all the punches, with a little help of Dave and his clock directions!

You people really need watch movies...I doubt alot of people have seen this one either, so I'll describe it. Once again, the good old comedy team: Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor. 'David Lyons'(Wilder) is deaf, "Repeat, deaf!", and 'Wally Carrou' is blind. Luckily the two have each...( read more) other, because they sure need it. A woman kills a man over a gold coin right in the place where Wally and David work, and the woman is gone when the police arrive, so David and Wally get arrested for a crime they didn't commit. When asked what happened, Wally replies, "I SMELLED a woman, but I didn't SEE a woman...", and David replies, "I can tell you just one thing. She has the most incredible legs I have ever seen in my life." So right away, David and Wally are able to escape, bumbling around town trying not to be noticed, and end up in New Jersey(from New York). Anything with Pryor and Wilder is absolutely hilarious and a must-see. "This morning, I threatened to shoot a naked woman with my erection. Now that's not something that happens everyday."

In "See No Evil, Hear No Evil" Richard Pryor is a blind man and Gene Wilder is a deaf man. They both inadvertently team up when they are suspected as being the murderers of a man that is killed while at Wilder's store. They have to find a way to keep away from the cops while they...( read more) try to find and capture the real killers.
"See No Evil, Hear No Evil" has some comedy sequences you'll never forget once you see them. The parts I remember the most are when the police woman is trying to get a head shot of Gene Wilder and it just doesn't work out for her,and the parts where Gene Wilder keeps saying times such as 1 o'clock, telling Pryor where to punch because he can't see who he's supposed to be hitting are funny too. The whole movie is hilarious, and I recommend anybody who likes comedy movies to get it. NOTE: That was my Amazon review from the year 2000 - classic flick!
