I think it's because it was just in the water. I'm not sure though, I'll have to watch it again. Did they say it was released into the air?

someone tell me why they didn't turn into reavers or die? because they landed on the planet that contained the same atmosphere that caused that effect on the people before...

First off, timing. We know Universal is on the verge of greenlighting
the Big Damn Sequel.
Second off, Universal Licensed Products. In the film industry, money
talks, so by sending these wavecards, which are official licensed
products, we're putting money in Universal's pocket and underscoring
the potential for lots more profit.
Third, this time, we're all behind it. Only you can make sure that we
do the impossible—again. When all the Browncoats stand united,
there's not a power in the 'Verse that can stop us.
Fourth, it's fun! A lot of Browncoat groups are getting together to
throw card-writing Shindigs! Get together with your crew to make this

Check out this web sight. www.can'tstoptheserenity.com. (which seems to be down at the moment.) The last two years they have done charity showings of Serenity on Joss's birthday. Last count this year had them at over 98,000 for Equality Now.
Also check on ebay, Joss has several auctions going right now. Including a private dinner with Joss himself. All for charity.

This is one of the best movies I have ever seen, the fight scenes in it are less of an actual battle but more of a dance.
The main characters have excelent depth in personality, and some an almost terrifying calmness, to name a couple Chiwetel Ejiofor who played the bounty hunter, and Summer Glau who played "River Tam".
The final fight sequence is THE best fight sequence I have ever seen in a movie, in a brief instant River goes from helpless child to emotionless weapon flawlessly and gracefully cutting down reavers.
Also the ideas in this film are totally unique as there has never been a film quite like it, and the mass fleet battles grippingly ingenius.

Joss is my God and Serenity is awesome! I wish Joss was still writing Wonder Woman I was looking foreward to watching it.

if you had seen 'firefly' before you saw 'serenity' then you would have felt something from their deaths. and there wasnet much character development because they were already built up enough from firefly.
otherwise, a brilliant film; but left a lot of things unanswered. such as book's past and who the hell the blue handed guys were.

when i bought this i had no idea it was based on a tv series because frankly if i did i would never even have considered picking the thing up however in my ignorance i bought the movie and regardless what it was based on it is good sci fi action film the dialouge is golden and the fight scenes are pretty good too the ending was a bit of a disappointment and the lack of character development meant when some1 died u didnt realy care still though it was good

This movie is awesome and the series is even more awesome! The series has a more westerny feel to it, which i find cool. If you liked the movie your gonna love the series.

Slightly different in tone and details from the Series Firefly, on which it was based. This in no way deters from the film, and makes it accessible to both new viewers and fans of the Series, a ground breaking, genre-busting program that was cut down before it could begin (Curse you, FOX!). This film, Serenity, has it all: Action, Adventure, Mystery, Drama, Comedy... Science Fiction meets The Western meets Fim Noir. A MUST see!
Also, it's been announced that a Special Edition will be released this Summer! A two-disc set, with lots of new extras. -Sorry, no changes in the film itself. Joss sez the "Alternate Ending" is when you turn it off early yourself! :o)posted 439 days ago -

Ha ha..the below posted does not know what he is talking about! Both Buffy and Angel are awesome action TV series! Anyone who could revive a chessy Buffy movie and make it a top TV show..IS very talented. Ok, so the movie wasnt his best work but its STILL a classic...Josh RULES! Firefly forever!

This movie has to be one of the best Sci-Fi/Action movies that I have seen in a long while along with the TV Series.
