When I saw the Firefly trailers on the buffy DVD's all I could think was "huh - looks overblown and crap". I then saw the trailers for serenity and went to see it as soon as I could - the next time I was shopping I bought the firefly series. All I can say is that the director of the Firefly trailers did the franchise a great, great disservice. This fantastic film pales in comparisson to the TV show - yet is still filled with the grit, wit and charecters that made it great. Pity the ******** at fox didn't think so.
(have you seen the fruity oaty bar eaaster egg? fantastic isn't it?)

Serenity is an exciting, dramatic, and often hilarious adventure. You don't have to watch the TV show to be able to enjoy the film, but it's better if you do, because you'll understand the characters and story alot more. Definitely worth watching.

Chewitel Ejiofor was a bit of a boring choice as a villain. Not that his performance was bad (far from it, I think he's a wonderful actor), it's just British and Black? Why didn't they stick him in a wheelchair to complete all the movie villain stereotypes?

You can best understand this movie by watching the TV series "Firefly". Most who see it are hooked immediately, as the series has an amazing realism to it, a spellbinding plot, witty and well written dialogue, and great camera and special effects. Buy the DVD set today!

Serenity was a great movie and the firefly series was great too. I wish they'd continue with the series. Thanks for posting the clip...I liked it.

This movie was really confusing to me. I probably would have liked it more if I understood what was actually going on...
