I actually only saw this for the first time awhile ago, yes yes where I have I been is right...
Wow, quite a crazy movie... But I really did love it....
What is there not to like about this film? Brad Pitt gets wet. Morgan Freeman is great. "Dr.Cox" is arrogant. Kevin Spacey is a psycho-killer. And Gwyneth Paltrow loses her head. Litrally. Pure Genius!
Absolutely need to be in the right mood for this one -- and perhaps select a better night than a late one when no-one else is as home as I did sitting downstairs in Inkster St just after it came out on video. Sinister and gruesome, Se7en grabbed me, shook me around, and spat me out a couple of hours later: Pitt and Freeman play their parts beautifully in what is an elongated, more depraved version of the typical SVU episode.
Now this is what you would call a real thriller, it is most definately a must see for those people who have not yet done so, or those who weren't able to sneak in when it came out. Watch this film it'll have you glued from beginning to end
definitely one of the best movies of the 90's. i recently rewatched this, and it reminded me how good this film is. very, very strong visuals. definitely worth seeing.
Far and away my all-time favorite movie. The acting, the storyline and the ending. All fantastic Kevin Spacey did a fine job playing the part of the serial killer. Get this it was also original. I know wierd but it kept me going from start to finish.
I know everyone loves this fuckin movie and I really can't figure it out... its predictable... the gore isn't spectacular or scary and the twist ending isn't anything great... meh.
Um, I know that I have seen this movie, but I can't remember all that much about it. I do know that I enjoyed it somewhat, althought I am not too fond of horrors. Still, It was interesting.
The best (and arguably most disturbing) film noir ever made. Often copied, never equalled, despite some attempts (Saw anyone?). Fine cast, great acting, and arguably Kevin Spaceys best performance (though that comment is bound to raise a few eyebrows). It also has a fantastic ending, and my favourite last line in cinema history.
Even after ten years this film is still amazing. Fincher is so precise in what he does that the viewer is emersed in the world the film has created. Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt work well together as the veteran cop and the rookie. Be on the lookout for R. Lee Ermey and John C. McGinley in the film. To this day this movie has one of the best twist endings of all time.
This is a well thought out plot and is quite interesting to see unfold. Great acting and maybe not as much action as you would think but brilliant anyway!
